Demist Coating RIA 2 |
||||
| RIA 2 | Demist coating RIA 2 can be applied
also to curved surfaces and is not limited to the size of the surface to
be coated. The coating can be laminated on glass as well as on heat resistive
plastic materials.
Its main advantage is the high resistance to scratches and mechanical stress. The film itself is characterized by flexibility, that brings back the film to its original state. After being scratched or mechanically attacked, just humid the surface and the scratches will almost disappear. The lost in light transmission is smaller than 1%. |
||||
| Applications | Demist coating RIA 2 is conform MIL-I-83336 B. The applications are almost unlimited.
It is the solution for all cases when a substrate can be misted: Wind shields,
mirrors, diving masks, portholes, screen of helmet, external camera lenses, gas masks, et
cetera.
|
||||
| Specifications | Its composition is based on an organic absorbent substance, crystallized on the substrate. With its thickness of below 10 micrometer the film has an operating range of - 40 to + 120 degrees Celsius. RIA 2 is resistant to most of the chemical substances of its application range. It is inert to greases, oil, hydrocarbons and most organic solvents. The clear aperture comprises the complete coated surface, except 1 mm along the edge. | ||||
| Transmission | Upon request.
|
||||
| Maintenance | To recover the coating from light
scratches, dust or other impurities due to handling at normal operation
conditions, just dip the item into clear water for 1 minute. As RIA 2
is spongy, for preventing dust or filaments to penetrate the material,
we recommend not to wipe it with a cloth. We advise to draw water dabbing
with a clean tissue and then let dry by natural evaporation for approximately
5 minutes. Then, ultimate dust particles and evaporation marks can be
rubbed off.
